Ski extravaganza – part 1

Tonight marks the night of our 1st annual cousin ski trip . We are adventuring up to Peak n Peek in NY for an exciting ski and drinking extravaganza where 10 of us will be in a 2 bedroom condo. The chances of not having enough places to sleep and not talking to each other for a month or so is high. Someone tell me why we didn’t just go to Brandywine and chill at the Holiday Inn?

Now, I am not one for winter activities – indoor or outdoor. I like to stay warm, dry, and not break any bones. I recall an incident in the fall of 2004 where I had a mishap ice skating, broke a wrist, and was in a cast for 2 months. Something I don’t want to experience.ever.again. Especially since my mom didn’t believe I broke my wrist and refused to take me to the ER for about an hour.

So to calm my nerves about hittin’ the slopes tomorrow I decided to Google ski images. I’ll be honest, nothing good came of that search. People had bruises that consumed their whole thigh and bones were not where they should be.

I think the best plan is to attempt the bunny hill, document I tried, and then go sit in the lodge with my kindle and whiskey. Hmmm, yes, that sounds lovely.

I suggest taking bets on whether I will be in a body cast or not on Monday. Until then, stay warm my friends!

Skiing is fun, you will love it! It will make you appreciate winter. I love winter when I am home snuggled in PJs and blankets…..or skiing.
